Asian chicken with basil show with a combination of sweet and red peppers, thyme, mint, and basil.I start with about half a cup of chicken stock or broth in the bottom of a bowl Next, add about three tablespoons of pourable light brown sugar. Start whisking in our ingredients. Then add a tablespoon and a half each of light soy sauce and dark soy sauce. or 3 tablespoons of any soy sauce. 1 tablespoon of fish sauce. or salt. Next Whisk to mix up. This dish can be made with boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs. Next, the pan should be getting hot. It's time to start cooking the chicken. First We brown the chicken and then we take the chicken out and cook the peppers and shallots Next, cook the meat in batches. then cut up some garlic. It's ok to slice it or you can crush it with your knife. Or you can grate it with a hand grater, whatever you have and you want to use. Use two to three clothes per pound of chicken. Next, add ginger root, scrape it with a spoon. now cut up four large shallots. Next, take the chicken out of the pan, Add some more high temperature cooking oil. Like Grapeseed, peanut, safflower. Now our peppers go in. They can go in with our shallots. Next add in our garlic, our ginger now that we've let some of the liquid starts to come out of our peppers and shallots. Our sauce has been patiently waiting. Add The basil and mint. Lastly, serve this right from the skillet it's a lot. The green onions and our rice. I made the rice to package directions except how I cook our rice, As an option, Add in half mix of chicken stock, and half water It gives the rice has tons of flavor. Lastly cut up some cashews sprinkle on top with the green onion tops.
