Ingredients
500g (1 lb.) chicken breasts, cut into strips
2 cups cornflakes, crushed
1 cup plain flour
1 egg
salt and pepper
Oven baking is the easiest way to cook the chicken.
Keep in mind the thickness of the chicken as the thicker it is the longer it will take to cook. If the cornflake coating is burning, then turn your oven or fry pan down to a lower temperature.
You need to double coat the chicken if you want a thicker coating of cornflakes on the chicken.
** Dip in the eggs 3 times ** But dip in the flakes only twice.
Instructions
For baking, preheat an oven to 180°C (350°F)
In a bowl, add the flour and season lightly with salt and pepper. Mix slightly.
Add the eggs to a separate bowl and beat them together.
Lastly, add the crushed cornflakes to a third bowl.
One by one, first coat the chicken in the flour, then into the eggs, and lastly in the cornflakes.
The chicken should be well covered in the cornflakes, once done, put to the side.
Repeat until you’re out of chicken.
Place on a lightly greased baking tray and bake for 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked all the way through. Turning halfway through cooking will help guarantee they will cook evenly.

Chicken Rice Krispies
For the chicken:
1 cup whole Rice Krispies, plus 2 cups crushed
3 tablespoons of your favorite all-purpose herb spice blend
2 tablespoons potato flour
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken thighs
½ cup melted butter
For the chicken, preheat the oven to 400˚F.
Combine the whole and crushed cereal, the seasoning mix, and the flours.
Dip the chicken in melted butter, then dredge in the cereal mixture, pressing to coat.
Bake on a rimmed sheet pan until brown and crispy, 30 to 35 minutes, and serve with cut limes and chile cheese sauce for dipping. e Subscribe button and then click here for the recipe.
